Le\u00a0File Transfer Protocol<\/strong>\u00a0(protocole de transfert de fichiers), ou\u00a0FTP<\/strong>*, est un protocole de communication d\u00e9di\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9change de fichiers sur un r\u00e9seau.
Il permet, depuis un ordinateur, de copier des fichiers depuis ou vers un autre ordinateur du r\u00e9seau, d\u2019administrer un site web, ou encore de supprimer ou modifier des fichiers sur cet ordinateur.<\/p>\r\n

Concr\u00e8tement : lorsque, pour cr\u00e9er son site Web, on loue un espace chez un h\u00e9bergeur, celui-ci transmet un identifiant et un mot de passe FTP<\/strong>*pour se connecter sur son serveur (ordinateur de l’h\u00e9bergeur sur lequel travaille un logiciel FTP, qui rend publique l’arborescence des fichiers qu’il contient)<\/em>.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

On pourra ainsi y d\u00e9poser des fichiers, ou en r\u00e9cup\u00e9rer.<\/p>\r\n

Pour acc\u00e9der \u00e0 un serveur FTP, on utilise un logiciel \u201cclient\u201d FTP, par exemple FileZilla<\/strong>, qui envoie des requ\u00eates auxquelles r\u00e9agit le serveur.<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n
